Has anyone used the Eureka 1 man tents? Looking for the best bang for my buck.
A A second vote for the Eureka Backcountry 1, available on Campmor.com for $129. I've owned and extensively used a Backcountry 2 for 20+ years and it has never let me down. In spite of one pole being a bit bent and some patched holes in the fly from my son setting-up too close to the campfire, it still continues to be both my son's and my all-time favorite tent. Between us we put over 40 days a year in this and it still keeps us sheltered and dry through the worst weather. It is a simple two-pole dome with optional pole for the fly, zips up good for windy and cold weather, but has plenty of ventilation for when it's hot. It also has one of the smallest pack sizes I've seen in a free-standing tent. I have several other tents, but if this one ever did fail I'd go straight out and buy another. The Hubba Hubba tents also look like a good choice, a bit lighter but with a larger pack size, and more ventilation but less protection from the wind. But I can't vouch for its durability, and it is twice the price of the Eureka.

I'm looking for a good one man tent that's cheap, waterproof, and easy to set up. It can also be a small two-man tent, too. One more thing, I've found the Coleman ascend and the Eureka! Timberline. Are they any good?
