2 Man Tent

- Can a 2 man tent fit 2 people comfortably?
Hi, I'd really like to buy a Vango 2 man tent that I have seen on a website. It's 140cm wide. the 3 man version is 20 quid more, and is 200cm wide. i'm on a very tight budget and am also looking for a lightweight tent for festival use. The 3 man is over a kg heavier. Will this 2 man tent be big enough for me and my boyfriend? We're both of medium build! Let me know! Thank you! In the end the cost difference was 40 quid so I went for the 2 man, it is the size of a double bed so should be ok, plus has a sheltered storage bit at the front. Thanks for all your help guys!

A If you only need the tent for the two of you and your sleeping gear, you can probably make do. If you are 'car camping', that is, you have your car parked right there at the campsite, you can stow the rest of your gear in the car to protect from the elements. If you do not have a car nearby and you have gear like packs and cooking gear, igloo, etc. that you don't want in the rain, you will need more space. If you are backpacking into camp, weight becomes the most important factor and you want as light as possible. I go backpacking in the desert mountains of New Mexico and I usually just bring a foam mat to sleep under the stars, but it rarely rains. Im in the USA, so I don't know the brand, sorry I can't make a comment on quality there.
