- I'm going on a camping trip... I need a lightweight 5 man tent?
Me and two other teenagers are going biking and camping, but we need a 5 man tent wich is also very lightweight. We will be staying for two nights at a camp site... So suggestions for lightweight 5 man tents? Thanks
A "Light weight" and "5 man" do not go together if your bicycling to your destination you want to get that weight down and distribute the load amongst your friends. You also don't give a budget, yes you can go to walmart and get a cheapo tent that is a 5 man model but it will weigh well above 7lbs. Nor do you state your destination most cheap tents are also fair weather tents and won't stand the rigors of foul weather. So in contrast to the cheapo solution my suggestion is to go with the Marmot Limestone 4P Tent, it comes in heavy at 10lbs plus but it is built for foul weather and you can divvy up the load better.

A OMG NO! What you should do to clean it is pitch it and spot- clean. If you wash it you'll ruin the waterproofness of the fabric and seams and it could tear. As far as drying it out, just leave it pitched on a warm breezy day.
