Chinook Tent Reviews - FAQ and Questions
- I'm looking at a Chinook Titan Lodge 8 tent, does anybody have any experience using one?
We are a family of 5 and need some room, but we also want to stay dry during rain and don't want to spend most of the first day setting up.
A buy an 8 man tent.

- Having trouble finding a 4 season tent?
As a geology major, over the summer I have to go on geology field camp. this includes living out of a tent for 6 weeks straight in every weather condition possible in CO, NM, TX, UT, and Montana. I know that I need a good 4 season tent and after weeks of research I thought I had found "the one". The Chinook Cyclone 3 got awesome reviews online and is very reasonably priced. There's just one thing... I can't find it available online ANYWHERE. What do experienced campers recommend? I am not looking to spend over $250
A You won't need a 4 season tent trust me on this. 6 weeks is along time tent camping and you don't say if you will mobile by car or by horse or by foot. It makes a difference. If you have to carry all your gear that's a 6 week back pack trip and weight will become an issue in the first mile. 4 season tents are in the heaviest category and a 3 season tent will suffice for the season your going and be more comfortable in the heat and wind and rain of summer. For what your plans are and a great back packer tent I do recommend a sturdy tent and I prefer well known brands for quality here is one I like, REI Half Dome 2 Plus Tent at $199.us http://www.rei.com/product/794296 If your car camping and staying at recognized parks a bigger tent will be more comfortable. One that you can stand in or have a chair to sit and read and do homework for this I recommend this tent, Evanston™ Screened 6 http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colemancom/detail.asp?product_id=2000007825&categoryid=11020&brand=
