Outdoor Car Tent Reviews - FAQ and Questions
- Yellow Sac spider infestation in car - need help!!?
My boyfriend and I bought an Acura TL last Thursday and upon driving it home we discovered it was infested with Yellow Sac spiders. On Thursday night we killed about 20 spiders both on the interior and exterior of the car. So over the weekend we put a Raid dry fogger in the interior of the car and around 9 pm we came back out to check out the results. Over the next 30 minutes we killed 15-20 spiders on the exterior of the car. We then went to Lowe's and purchased 3 10'x20' painter tarps and created a tent over the car, completely sealed with outdoor duct tape. We then put two more foggers on the interior and 5 on the exterior of the car, one under the engine and the other 4 behind the tires in the wheels wells. We let it sit overnight and Sunday we detailed the car to an extreme - we removed all of the sacs we could find from the door frames and interior of the car and we also sprayed spider spray on the underside of the hood, the wheel wells, the spare tire compartment, the side mirrors and the undercarriage to the best of our ability. Later that night we found 5 live spiders crawling on the exterior of the car. Has anyone ever had to deal with this situation, and if so, how did you rid the car of the spiders? We're really at a loss for what to do and we're completely shocked that any of these little buggers survived the major gassing we did on the car. I've read other answers and setting the car on fire and calling the insurance company is not going to happen. I'm really looking for constructive advice on how to fix this major problem. Thanks everyone!!!
A it sounds like the car was sitting for an extended period in an infested area, and a great many females placed their egg sacs there...now....all the adult females are or will be dying, and their young ,(if they survive),will disperse in the next few weeks or days...thats if you have not already killed most of them...i would suggest washing the car in warm soapy water with great detail...this should not last too much longer...those baby spiders will not nest on a moving object,so after this spring you should not have a problem...

- Where can I go tent camping that is NOT in a "park" or caravan site up to 4 hrs away from Ldn..?
I'm talking, woods, quiet, maybe a lake or a river. But with as few other people as possible, not a large caravan site! Myself and some friends want to hire a car and get away from London, and do some outdoor actvities but not surrounded by families! It needs to be a 1 to 4 hour drive away from London. I cant even find websites with simple tent campsites on! PLEASE help me!!!!
A try castlemorton common or the malvern hills both just the other side of Gloucester about 2 half hours drive enjoy
