Outdoor Tent Cot Reviews - FAQ and Questions
- I am not an *outdoor* girl, but have agreed to try TENT camping....suggestions for comfort?
Can I get a cot for use in the tent or will that not work? What about a heater?
A wow, sorry but that's kind of sad, a heater? in a tent? in the middle of the woods? really? a cot I might be able to understand if I were really an inside person, if you really need to ask about this kind of thing I suggest you make an excuse to get out of it

- Is this true that soldiers in Iraq don't deserve nice beds and sufficient shelter from harmful "camel spiders"?
Yesterday on "Monsterquest", I saw a section where they mentioned soldiers in Iraq being bit and having their flesh eaten away by these horrible giant insects, the size of your hand. They showed a segment on the show where this soldier was going to bed in his cot on top of sand, so much for having a house or a nice bed, huh? Anyway, it was hiding under his sheets, it get in because they don't even have houses, they all sleep in cots in outdoor tents... This camel spider crawled up and ate away at the flesh of his arm... Sad... I wonder if they ever have their flesh grow back and are ever the same again. They serve their country and this is shelter they get from harmful insects that could literally eat away their very flesh and muscle overnight??? I think it's appauling. I really do want to know if the soldiers who went through this were ever the same with their muscle grown back with time and proper medical treatment. So, it's like the officers and generals get their nice beds and mansions and soldiers are forced to live the lowest, crappiest conditions being fully exposed to flesh eating insects? I don't like what I saw on "Monsterquest" on the History channel the other day, not at all.
A I seriously, seriously doubt the people who made that program have ever been to Iraq, let alone in base housing.
