- what is more durable material to use for a canopy? polyester or polyethylene?
I am purchasing canopies for outdoor event fundraisers and need to consider the durability factors when exposed to the elements.such as heat,(will it deflect heat from inside the canopy?,dont want anyone passing out..) rain?(is it waterproof on the surface or throughout?or is it like a camping tent,when u touch it from the inside your done... ) also cold?(can polyester do better than polyethelene without cracking breaking discoloring ect.. I looked up a bit of info and it was too complicated.
A Polyethylene, will last the longest and give you the best protection for your application.It is 100% waterproof inside and out. It will also shield against UVA rays in direct sunlight, and reflect the heat away from it's surface. It's 100% waterproof and maintains it's waterproof characteristic's indefinately.
